Caramel Apple Puff Pastry

A delicious and easy dessert featuring caramelized apples wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 large apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until apples are coated.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 4 equal rectangles.
  4. Spread caramel sauce in the center of each pastry rectangle, leaving a border around the edges.
  5. Arrange apple slices on top of the caramel, then fold the edges of the pastry over the apples.
  6. Brush the pastry edges with beaten egg wash. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
