For the Crust:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
- Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, and salt until well combined. Spread batter into prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture over brownie batter. Swirl with a knife to create a marbled effect.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs. Cool before cutting.
