For the Crust:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, black pepper, and thyme.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- If desired, mix cornstarch with 1 tbsp water and stir into the sauce during the last 30 minutes to thicken.
