For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp mustard
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
- In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C). Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
