For the Crust:

  • 8 oz dried noodles (such as udon or lo mein)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into small pieces.
  3. Add garlic and ginger, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes.
  5. Pour the sauce over the beef and stir to coat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes
