For the Crust:

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  4. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
