For the Crust:
- 1.5 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
