  • Author: Trusted Blog

Description

A juicy, flavorful steak seared to perfection and finished with a rich butter sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 2 (8-10 oz) ribeye or sirloin steaks
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and sear for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add butter, garlic, and thyme to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Remove steaks from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
