For the Crust:
- 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix the sliced steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sugar. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the steak and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add the remaining oil to the skillet. Stir-fry the garlic, bell peppers, and onion for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.
- Return the steak to the skillet. Pour in the beef broth and add black pepper. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
