For the Crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then mix in melted butter and milk.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Fold in diced apples.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
