A quick and easy one-pot meal combining the flavors of tacos with pasta for a hearty family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large pot or deep skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning, water, and salsa. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  3. Add the uncooked macaroni, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese and sour cream until well combined.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve immediately.
